Many companies exist for the sole purpose of taking aspiring model’s money for various “fees” to “register” with their agency. That is your first “red flag” that they may NOT be a legitimate agency. To avoid these rip-offs, go to the Federal Trade Commission’s web site and read: “Look Out for Modeling Scams”
You should ALWAYS check with the Cleveland Better Business Bureau before contacting a modeling agency to be sure they are legitimate. Just click here, enter the modeling agency’s phone number and view a report to see if there are any complaints against them.
