Pretty awesome pictures of the lobby and the turbine room! I worked in a power plant in southeastern Ohio for 13 1/2 years. It was originally the Ohio Edison R.E. Burger plant in Shadyside Ohio which eventually became First Energy. Our turbine room was very wide with 5 turbines but definitely not as long as this one. Thank you for sharing the photos!

Thank you for your comment! I wasn’t given access to the boiler area so I was thrilled to get the photos I was allowed to take.

Are you retired now? If you are, what are you doing to stay active?

Don’t see any pictures of the boilers?
See only pictures of the turbines and control rooms where everything was extremely clean!
I was an instrument tech and spent more time on the boilers than in the clean environment of the turbines.
