Looking back in time…
Happy 10-year anniversary to Allie Meyerhoefer and David Dischinger. On May 22, 2010, I photographed their wedding.
What really made this day special for me was being able to witness and capture their love for each other and their families which translated beautifully in their wedding photographs.I've known David's family for over 20 years and have had the honor of photographing six of his sibling's senior portraits and two different family portraits. What has always stood out to me is the bond they share as a family and how easy they were to photograph because of the kindness they extended toward me. The Dischingers are truly a very special family.

In fact, they remind me a lot of the Kenawell family I grew to know and love during my high school days in Du Bois, PA. That “clan” consisted of 13 brothers and sisters who always had each other's backs. I always thought it would be cool to be one of those thirteen. The closest I got to being a part of their family was having the oldest Kenawell – Richard, as the best man at my wedding. (BTW – September 20th marks my 40-year wedding anniversary.)
Four years after I photographed Allie and David's wedding, I asked Allie's sister, Skyler, to be a high school senior SpokesModel for my studio. I got to know her a little when she was a bridesmaid in Allie's wedding and thought she had the perfect personality to represent my studio. Her portrait session was amazing as you'll see in this video!
