Mocha Monkey meets newlyweds at the Golden Gate Bridge

The Mocha Monkey met Vlad and Tanya while visiting the Golden Gate Bridge on a recent trip to San Francisco. They became “fast friends” as they ran along the shoreline together. Seems like everywhere MM goes, people want to hang out with the little guy!

How to get your camera back if you lose it

Back in 1984, I left a bag loaded with thousands of dollars of camera equipment along side a country road in Austria. I had just photographed some amazing views of the Austrian Alps before moving on to photograph some castles in Germany. About an hour later (and 50 miles of treacherous, mountainous roads) I realized

After visiting San Francisco and then Cleveland for my daughter’s wedding – he took off for Washington, D.C. for a visit with President Obama. The Mocha Monkey nearly falls off a cliff

Late Friday, the Mocha Monkey nearly fell off a cliff along California Highway 1 between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. Apparently trying to get a closer look at the Pacific Ocean, he got too close to the edge of the rocks and slipped. After he called out that he was in trouble, I immediately pulled him to safety.

It’s going to be a Rice-A-Roni kind of week

I’m flying to San Francisco to photograph Alcatraz and other historic sites for a photo book of America’s greatest destinations. I don’t know that I’ll actually have any Rice-A-Roni with the amazing international food choices available there.
