The “Dara Hosta Olmsted Spirit 5K Race/ 2-Mile Walk” is on May 2, 2010. It is in memory of the OFHS Freshman, Dara Hosta, who passed away after winning the 400-meter run in gym class in the Spring of 2000.
Besides the community spirit this event fosters, all monies raised from the race/walk (after expenses) will go toward college scholarships for Olmsted Falls High School seniors who have shown their school and/or community spirit by the activities they were involved in during their lifetime.
