Are you interested in learning what causes photographs to fade or become damaged—and how to prevent it? Did you know these cherished memories can often be restored through digital retouching? Join us for a special presentation where you will:

– Discover how to protect your photographs from environmental damage and fading away.

– View several before-and-after photographs that were in poor condition and restored to look as they did when originally printed.

– Learn the key questions to ask when selecting a company to restore your photographs to ensure a positive outcome.

– See a demonstration of an affordable software that will allow you to do some light photo restoration on your own computer. (Unfortunately, this software does not work on a Mac.) Please Note: Due to possible time constraints, Mark may not be able to showcase this video during his presentation. However, he will provide a link to ensure attendees can view it at their convenience.

– See a hyperlapse video of a complete, 2-hour photo restoration shown in just 4-minutes.

– If you have any old photographs in need of restoration, feel free to bring them along. After the presentation, I will be available to examine them and address any photo restoration questions you may have.

Here's some comments from past attendees:

As a genealogist, I learned some valuable information regarding the restoration of my family photos. Mark explained everything clearly and had wonderful examples in his slide presentation. It's nice to know that there are options offered for the restoration of our family photographs that might otherwise disappear from history. – Nancy Hoppe

The before-and-after examples in Mark's presentation were amazing – Donna

It as amazing to see the variety of flaws that he can corrected. Thank you – Pat Voltz

Well-rounded and very informational. Thanks – Alan Jones

Mark's photo restoration presentation was interesting and well worth the time if you have any interest in restoring photos. Valuable information was given. We chose to watch this presentation as a part of our wedding anniversary celebration. We were not disappointed. Now we know we better not wait any longer to get our nearly 50-year-old wedding pictures restored!

Thank you, Mark!

Mark presented his photo restoration webinar as part of our library's virtual genealogy speaker series, and it was extremely informative and well received. His decades of knowledge and experience are evident in his comprehensive presentation that demonstrates how individuals can preserve and restore their photographs or hire a professional to help them. Mark is clearly passionate about what he does and devotes the utmost care and attention to each project he works on, as illustrated by the examples of his work that he shared. I would highly recommend Mark as a speaker for any group interested in photo restoration.
